How to Get Your Blog Into Google News and Yahoo News

Sábado, Junio 26th, 2010

By Zeke Camusio

Google News and Yahoo News are the biggest automated news aggregators online. Millions of news junkies across the world read these news sources on a daily basis. If you want major exposure and publicity for your blogs, Google and Yahoo are where you want to be.

You will drive HUGE traffic to your blog plus you gain instant popularity from readers across the world! This is another great way to showcase your expertise and credibility to mass audiences.

Before you can submit your blog URLs, make sure to sign up for both a Google and Yahoo account (sign-ups are free!)

How Google News Works

Google “crawls” news sites and gathers articles. Headlines are crawled based on algorithms/certain factors: how often and the particular site where the story appears.

Google taps into more than 4,500 English-language news sources worldwide. There are NO human editors associated with selecting articles. They solely rely on online news outlets and online publishers to determine which stories have the most prominence/relevance. Google News consists of top stories and eight sections: World, Nation, Business, Sci/Tech, Sports, Entertainment, Health and Most Popular.

Avian Flu: Do You Want The Good News Or The Bad News? Part II

Sábado, Junio 26th, 2010

By Dr Robert Gamble

Avian Flu: The bad news first

Well, it’s flu season again. Only this time, we hear everyone talking about avian flu…the Super flu which is expected to wreck havoc across our land in the not so distant months.

So what is avian flu? Avian flu is bird flu. Yes, you read that right, “Avian flu is bird flu.” And why might that be such bad news?

If you pursue the news much, you will read that the deadliest disease in history is widely regarded as the Spanish Flu epidemic which killed 40 million people in just months. Scientists now believe the epidemic was an avian flu pandemic. In other words, the virus came from birds – it is believed – and a virus similar to this one -called the “H5N1″ (a form of avian flu virus). Its origins? Most scientists agree it originated in Asia, as this one.

Flu comes every season. It comes in one of two forms, Type A or Type B influenza. Type A is the more potent of these kinds of flu, and avian flu is Type A. These strains kill.

The current avian flu bug is infecting and spreading throughout the poultry industry in Asia. Why so often in Asia? Simply put…and here is a key to understanding how to deal with avian flu – poultry farms are absolutely filthy. The stench from such farms, especially those throughout Asia, can be detected a mile away. Those farms are packed with animals which are weak with compromised, weakened, immune systems.

Let these two phrases sink in together: avian flu and weakened immune systems. Whether we are dealing with the aftermath of the horrible conditions and weakened immune systems of millions who survived World War I or the horrible conditions of Asian and European poultry farms and their millions of animals with weakened immune systems, the key to this potential pandemic is “weakened immune systems and avian flu”.

Because of the rapid spread and highly dangerous nature of the avian flu to birds, millions of flocks have been destroyed throughout the afflicted countries. However, that is simply not working because migratory birds are carrying the avian flu to distant lands, thus spreading its contagion. Interestingly, the migratory birds are not dying like the chickens. Why? Because their immune systems are much stronger, we are told by scientists.

Let that one sink in too: avian flu is not killing those animals so readily which have strong immune systems. Hum…avian flu and immune systems…Could be we have something here.

Incidentally, there have been only about a hundred deaths from avian flu worldwide. It is almost impossible for avian flu to make the transition from bird to human easily.

Avian Flu: Now for the really bad news

Of course, as soon as there is the slightest danger -avian flu or otherwise -our government jumps into high gear to infect every one of us, if possible, with its antiviral drug program against the slightest hint of avian flu. To date, everyone of the influenza drugs have proven worthless…or worse, against avian flu or any other kind of flu.

Note this statement from the former Chief Vaccine Control at the Federal Food and Drug Administration:

There is no evidence that any influenza vaccine thus far developed is effective in preventing or mitigating any attack of influenza. The producers of these vaccines know that they are worthless, but they go on selling them anyway.

–Dr. J. Anthony Morris

I wonder if this will apply to the alleged avian flu “antidote”. Note: The last few decades have seen a dramatic shift in fatalities from seasonal flu (some of which are avian flu).

Researchers now know the increase in the population does NOT account for the doubling of the seasonal average death toll from flu (avian flu or otherwise). Less than 20,000 were dying per year for decades. But, since the advent of the flu shot, averages of over 40,000 people per year have been dying.

Why?

One suggestion is a combination of two factors: the continued impairment of the immune system of the average American as witnessed by the multitude of epidemic diseases among us (not present in appreciable amounts in previous decades). The second factor follows below… (like the second Horseman of the Apocalypse).

Let’s see…one thing we do know about flu vaccines. They are not proven to work… No, two things we know…Yes, yes. They can kill. Just as surely as the avian flu can kill.

Many authorities believe the flu shot actually weakens the immune system…ah, there it is again…the immune system weakened.

Why is that? Let’s see. The ingredients in the flu vaccine (remember this when dealing with the avian flu) include:

” Formaldehyde, you know…embalming fluid known to cause cancer.

” Aluminum, the very metal related to Alzheimer’s disease, cancers of numerous types and traumatic seizures.

” Carbolic Acid: a terribly caustic poison.

” Ethylene Glycol: You will definitely need this fluid this winter, but please only use it as anti-freeze for your car, as it was designed to be used originally.

” Mercury: This is present in the vaccine ingredient called thimerosol. This is a known medical crippler and killer. It kills brain cells and immune cells and is linked to childhood brain and nervous diseases because of its use in VACCINES.

” Vaccines for use in avian flu are grown on virus strains developed from pus-laden animal tissue mixed with the above mentioned deadly chemicals. (Bulleted items: Special Report, “Bird Flu, H5N1″, Dr. Richard Schulze, November 2005, p. 12. Great “avian flu” resource.)

Is it any wonder the drug companies involved sought to be legally protected from law suits by those who might use these drugs against avian flu?

Forgive my skepticism, but I have seen from the inside of the medical/drug establishment, the fanatical zeal to make money as a first priority… Been there, opposed that. Avian flu treatment will not be any different.

Don’t count on the Hippocratic Oath to protect you from avian flu. There is big money in these drugs. Billions. And it is always suspicious when a drug company seeks lawsuit immunity (hum, appropriate wording here) BEFORE THE FACT (before its use against avian flu!)

Avian Flu: Now for the good news (finally).

Avian flu was not in view when this following statement was made. However, read it carefully with avian flu in mind.

In Congressional testimony concerning the potential of bio-terrorism attack upon the United States, Dr. H. Reginald McDaniel stated,

In instances of unusual, epidemic, or virulent infectious agent exposure, glyconutrient supplementation has been found effective for enhancing general immune functions and defense. When supplied at higher levels than available in nature, sugars needed for cellular synthesis can take

innate defense systems to a much higher level that are effective against infectious agents.

In other words, if we were attacked by an enemy with bio weapons -such as avian flu- we could find protection with glyconutrition. This is a powerful, non-prescriptive antidote possibility against avian flu.

Glyconutrition enhances the immune system’s natural defenses so powerfully that cancers, flu, and other UNDER ACTIVE IMMUNE DISORDERS can be stopped. The evidence is already in place. There is no guesswork here. Avian flu is flu, Type A, precisely the kind of flu glyconutrition is designed to offset.

Glyconutrition is effective – presumably against avian flu too – and has no side effects. It is a food substance, proven to be vital for human survival. There are no less than four Nobel Prizes to substantiate the presence and human need for glyconutrition.

There is an abundance of evidence showing its effectiveness against all kinds of disease, including flu. It doesn’t attack the flu directly. It strengthens the immune defenses – killer T cells and others – and they kill the tumors, flu, herpes simplex, shingles, strep, TB, bacterial infections, cancers, parasitic diseases… Quite a list of killers thus killed.

So…

Guess what I am going to take to protect my family this year against avian flu…if it develops?

Narrowcasting The News Is Good For Business

Sábado, Junio 26th, 2010

By Bruce Orr

Broadcasting is the term most often used to describe the act of disseminating the news, but for some companies, narrowcasting the news may be a good business strategy.

People’s news gathering habits have changed drastically over the past few years. Businesses that use digital signage can benefit from adding a news feed to their signs. Not only will narrowcasting the news get more people’s attention, it fits right in with the way many coveted demographics (affluent, educated and under 40) get their news – on the fly and in small chunks.

Trends in News Gathering

It used to be that people got their news from their daily paper or their nightly national news broadcast. With the rise of the Internet, news seekers have shifted to online sources in huge numbers. According to an August, 2008 report by the Pew Center for the People & the Press, the changes have been dramatic:

Opinion Piece: The News About Google News Search

Sábado, Junio 26th, 2010

By Allison Brown

News aggregators have it better today than ever. If you need the information, you hit the Internet and get it. You need no library pass or expensive news service subscription. Features exist, like netvibes.com that organizes RSS feeds or MyYahoo’s personalization applications to retrieve information the way the end user wants it. Such services make the job of an online editor or link aggregator an easy one. Google’s News Search is one phenomenal resource that doesn’t seem to gather the praise it deserves.

Google News starts with a 30-day base from over 4500 news sources. That’s a lot of current affairs to choose from, but an aggregator using Google News can alter that list of 4500 periodicals by adding or deleting sources. There is an option, too, to extend the past 30 days longer by dipping into Google archive feature. On a side note, an aggregator is the editor for your website or portal. A famous example would be Drudge of the DrudgeReport. His value is simply to glean through news sources and select what he thinks is news – and few people in the media have as much sway as him. So, it can pay to aggregate well.

Central to the Google News feature is, not surprisingly, the search process through entered keywords. Simply put, this provides amazing results. The aggregator of, say, a sports website need not worry for lack of interesting stories when using Google News. Type in a simple sport and/or angle and voila! Information aplenty to link, rewrite (with sources) or build for story inclusion. I randomly searched “NFL” + “penalty” (a nice cross-section) and was returned with a trove of interesting stories that would be fitting for a sports editor or link aggregator to select from.

Now, my mind was blank before the search, but in conducting the search and scanning the results I noticed one headline that called for a reinstatement of a disgraced running back, Ricky Williams, into the NFL. Williams, a high profile talent, has been banned for drug abuse. And just like that my interest was piqued by a headline (acting as an online sports page aggregator, remember) and when I clicked it, I read a persuasive opinion piece penned by one Dave Meyers of the La Crosse Tribune. Now, on my site I might link the story (http://www.lacrossetribune.com/articles/2007/04/10/sports/00lead.txt), thus amplifying the impact of the article and justifying, in theory, the co-operation of the La Crosse Tribune and Google. Google News allows more people to read Mr. Meyers’ product and helps my (theoretical) website build content. This is total Internet utility and a great example of a win-win for all involved.

Google News lets the user change the look of the results page and also allows the user to share customized selections with others by allowing signed-in users to create a unique URL that can be copied and sent to others. This could be very handy when collaborating in projects with off-site partners. Who doesn’t wish everything was this easy?

Bad News – Why The Financial News Media Can Cost You Money!

Sábado, Junio 26th, 2010

By Scott Matthew Brown

The communication innovations we have around us today like the internet, financial newspapers, and special interest television channels focused on investing like CNBC are a high speed pipeline of nonsensical chatter. All these sources of information mean that there is no shortage of media people trying to answer our questions about the stock market and specific stocks. You have to remember that the news media are constantly competing to survive against other stuff you can watch. If they don’t always sound like they know exactly what is going on then you won’t watch their presentations. If you don’t tune into their show then their ratings go down. If their ratings go down they get fired and their show gets cancelled.

This means that financial journalists are in the business of finding great stories and sounding like authorities no matter what. The stock market is a great place for them to dig up news ‘scoops’ to feed to the public. They don’t really check their facts very well and sometimes not at all. This means that if some insider wants to feed you a line of bull manure then all they have to do is maintain good connections with financial journalists, sponsor an investment show, or outright buy an investing TV channel like Jack Welsh the CEO of GE did when he set up CNBC. What a great way for inside executives to control the flow of news information to the public then to actually own one of the only financial news channels…but not so great for you!

These journalists also kick up the fire by bringing in so-called ‘experts’ to talk about each side of some topic that real experts would not consider important. This just makes it all the more confusing for the public to understand what is important when buying or selling a stock. Shows on CNBC like ‘Closing Bell’, ‘Kudlow & Company’, and ‘Mad Money’ do nothing but confuse and misdirect the attention of most individual investors in the public. Even worse this means that the financial news media allows overpriced stocks to be recommended through analysts in the inside web that inside executives are dumping on the public because they are trying to get out. This actually happened at the top of the bull market in 1999. For a great historical description of what happened read Maggie Mahar’s book entitled “Bull.”

The famous Yale University Economist, Prof. Bob Shiller, Ph.D. is particularly harsh on the media in his book “Irrational Exuberance.” Dr. Shiller is one the economists that Alan Greenspan respects most and where he got the term “Irrational Exuberance.” He portrays the media as sound-bite-driven where superficial opinions are preferred over in-depth analyses. I agree whole heartedly with him and contend that it is also done just because the industry would rather have the retail investor confused and emotionally pliable to get you to buy and sell when they want with total disregard for your best interests!

People who had invested their life savings in the stock market were ripped off in the stock market because the financial news media and analysts were hyping up what a great buy stocks were at the very top of the market in 1999 and 2000. At the same time inside corporate executives were selling out everything they had. What is amazing is that our federal government in the form of the Security Exchange Commission never did a thing about it. There was never an blanket case taken or an outcry that almost all of the inside executives had somehow magically sold out of the market six months before the market crashed.

Here is the valuable tip I want you to consider in this issue of “The Wallet Doctor”: when you are a beginner investor it is important that you DO NOT WATCH THE FINANCIAL NEWS OR READ THE FINANCIAL NEWSPAPERS! Don’t let the stock market industry lead you around by the nose like livestock to the slaughter house. Don’t listen to what they want you to listen to. You should focus on learning what is important in the stock market and the mass media will only confuse you until you have educated yourself. Also, don’t forget that I show you how to focus on what is important to identify stocks that are low priced but unlikely to go lower because the insiders may be buying them up and I show you when to sell when the same insiders are likely dumping the same stocks on the public in my course “The Blue Collar Base Bonanza – What the insiders [definitely] don’t want you to know!” You can get more course information on the course website.

I wish you the great abundance in your life you deserve because of what you are and don’t forget that happiness is found only in the precious present moment!

Press Releases Add Visibility In Your Local Business News

Miércoles, Junio 23rd, 2010

A great way to become visible in your local business news is to release timely press releases. A press release is typically a written document that seeks to draw media attention to such things as a specific event, product launch, or company updates.

Your first press release (also known as a news release) should introduce your business locally (or to the world, depending on your product or service). Write a release as if you’re a reporter who’s doing an interview with a business owner.

A press release should not come off sounding like an advertisement. It should be more of a news-style story. This is what will make it appealing to the media.

If you’re unsure how to write a release you can easily find services that can do this for you. They can also submit it for you.

Another challenge for some is trying to come up with ideas for continuing press releases. Here are a few tips they may help you with this thought process:

-You can use it to educate readers (or listeners if an audio press release) about something new or unusual about a product, service or procedure in your local market. The more unique, the better your chances are of gaining wide distribution in your local business news.

-Relate your product or service to a time of celebration such as a holiday or famous birthday, etc. Local events taking place in your area are something you can become involved with.

-You can write it as a form of entertainment. If something humorous happens at your company or a customer has a funny story to share, this can make for interesting reading. You can even offer discounts or gift certificates to people who participate in your “fun” contests.

-Similar to educating is “informing”. A release, for example, can be used to provide readers with news updates about technology or new procedures within your industry. Readers are always interested in electronics, software, or items of self improvement.

-Tie it into volunteerism. You can get involved with business volunteering in many ways. Once you gain insight, experience and information about whatever charity you assist, you can write about it in an informing way.

Write about what you’ve learned concerning the disease or cause. Use the voices of others for more perspective.

-Give away stuff! Draw people to either your place of business or your website by giving away promotional items (shirts, hats, knick-knacks), e-books with great information, or actual products. Denny’s annual super bowl promotion gives away a free breakfast each year which draws huge media coverage.

You can build a deep customer list this way by asking for email addresses in return for the free stuff. This allows you to now follow up with email advertising and information campaigns, giving you additional exposure to your customers.

Using press releases to become more visible in your local business news serves at least two great purposes. You are not only taking advantage of free advertising, but also communicating with your customers.

How Business News Facilitates Right Investment

Miércoles, Junio 23rd, 2010

Are you secured about your financial status? You can boost your current situation by investing wisely in the market whether it is in mutual funds, stocks, currencies, and various other investment options. You can earn money if you can spend money. But your spending should be centered on lucrative options; take wise decisions before you invest. You cannot just invest blindly if you want to invest seriously. Try to find out a reliable source where you can get complete information about investment options. A market news platform is the best answer. Here you can take a glance at the market news that covers finance news, currency exchange rates, and other business news. It carries the necessary data and information about the complete business news in India, which an investor should know before investing. Learning about the market movement besides knowing about the currency exchange rates is all easy at a market news portal.

You should be equipped with adequate knowledge about the market before investing your money. Financial news in India aired in television may not be sufficient for you as you will need a detailed overview. And if you miss a particular section, you will have to wait till the next news reading starts. And if you do not listen and watch with attention, you may still miss on important points. That is the reason why a market news platform is a reliable source to gain information. Here you can read news at ease from the comfort of your space besides watching videos related to finance news. You can read a particular news item repeatedly. All you need to have is a computer or laptop with an Internet connection.

International business transactions are not feasible with one currency only. Even if you are on an overseas trip, you will have to carry the currencies of the nation where you will land. The value of one currency differs from currency to currency and currency exchange rates let you know the value. Use a currency exchange converter to know the exact currency exchange rates. Forex traders are familiar with currency exchange rates, as they trade in international currencies.
